We are so grateful to the volunteers who chose to serve the women, children, and families of Queen of Peace Center. The two types of volunteer opportunities we offer are direct service (involves client interaction) and indirect service (does not involve client interaction) and the eligibility requirements are different depending on the type of service. Please look over the descriptions, then complete our volunteer application.

Practicum & Internship
Who is this for:
- Volunteers seeking degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field and are willing to commit to two semesters of service
- Volunteers comfortable interacting with clients in individual or group environments
- Volunteers comfortable documenting in an electronic system
- Volunteers willing to put in time to complete the requirements for direct service volunteering
What types of positions may be available:
- Human Services Practicum Student
- Community Support Intern or Practicum Student
- Counseling or Social Work Intern or Practicum Student
- Family Therapist
- Senior Clinical Director
- Housing Liaison
- BHT (PRN, PT and FT)
- Community Support Specialist
- Director of Intake & Community Engagement
- Group Facilitator
- SUD Counselor
- Early Childhood Educator
Requirements:
Once the form on Better Impact has been completed, if there are any available opportunities, you will be contacted by Queen of Peace Center staff with instructions on how to complete the following required paperwork:

Background check

Proof of attendance at a Protecting God’s Children session

Confidentiality Agreement
-
Media Release Form—not required but included with paperwork
Volunteers will also be asked for proof of a negative TB test. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to obtain the TB test.
**Volunteers under the age of 18 or 18 and still in high school are excused from having a background check, drug screening, and attending the Protecting God’s Children training. However, they will need to fill out our Ethical Conduct For Minors Volunteering or Working With Younger Children form and still provide proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while volunteering.*
Indirect Service
Who this is for:

Group volunteers

Volunteers wanting to give less than 60 hours of service (though you are welcome to give more time!)

Volunteers more comfortable with behind-the-scenes service
